Gladys P.E. Isaac, Principal, Malabar Christian college, belongs to the Department of English and has more than two decades of experience of teaching in English. She assumed charge as Principal in 2004 and since then has been involved in the administration of the College. With a cheerful disposition she is popular with both teachers and students alike. She has attended several national and international conferences, the highlights of which are her visits to Hawai, Gieslienge in Germany, Dubai and Srilanka. She is member of the Ayyappa Panikar Foundation, Academic council, Advisory board of NSS, Vice President of Sambarkavedi and Academic Staff College, University of Calicut,. She is specially interested in the activities of the Youth Clinic , a club that is involved with and looks after student welfare. It was under her able guidance that the Centenary Year of the College was celebrated in a gala and unforgettable manner.

Dr. K.V. Thomas, Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Malayalam is one of the senior most teachers in the College with almost three decades of teaching. His contribution to Malayalam language and Literature are immense. A writer and a scholar he has published more than twenty books and has published several research papers in different journals. He is the proud recipient of the Uroob Award, The Kazack Award and now the Ghani Award for the Best Teacher-2011. At present he is the co-ordinator of the M.P. Paul Trust of the Department. He has also served as Convenor of the Centenary Celebrations, Malabar Christian College, 2009. He is a regular coloumnist in Siraj Daily, Broadcaster in All India Radio. He produced 3 Ph.Ds under his guidance.

Dr. Lizzy Manjooran, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English has been with Malabar Christian College since the year 1980. Interested in Linguistics and theatre studies, she initiated the Indo-Anglian Club, a venture that helps students to learn English through the genre Drama. This later prompted her to take up a Major Research Project under the UGC for English Language Teaching through Theatre . She has also published papers on English Language Teaching t in different national and international journals. She also regularly attends and presents papers at academic seminars and conferences.

O.J.Chinnamma, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Sanskrit has a teaching experience in the College of more than three decades. A social activist she has done much to uplift the poorer sections of our society and also our students by working amidst them and empowering them with talks and lectures. She has also been resource person in different forums in this capacity and at present she is the Convener of the Anti Narcotic club of Malabar Christian College. She has also presented papers in National and International Conferences and as published a few papers in different academic journals .Several are the awards she has won for her noteworthy services. She has won the best teacher award for Campus Greening two times, The Best NSS Unit State Award, the Best NSS Programme Officer Award, the Manorama Air India award, the YWCA Award for the Best Social Worker and the AIPC Award.

Dr. P Rajalakshmi, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of German has a background of teaching German for thirty years in Malabar Christian College. She is a favourite with her students. A German Scholar, she has about ten research publications in both national and international Journals. Actively involved in teaching and research she has collaborations with important national and international bodies like the Max Mueller, Goethe Centre and the English and Foreign Languages University in Hyderabad. She has also attended several Seminars in India and abroad.

Dr. Rajasekharan K, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physics, he is one of the seniormost teachers with three decades of teaching experience. He is a M.Sc., Ph.D. and has many papers published in national and international journals. He is very academic, known for molding the youngsters in to brilliant students and get them interested in the science of physics.

Stella Grace Oommen, Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Economics has completed her M.Phil Degree and has more than thirty years of service in teaching. She is the present Co-ordinator of the Entrepreneur Development club. She also Co-ordinates the Basic Accountancy classes conducted for the benefit of the students of the College.

Vineetha Sophia Gabriel, Associate professor in the Department of English is one of the senior most teachers in the College. She is the Assistant Co-ordinator of the UGC Major Project, a project connected with language teaching through drama. She has also acted as Chairperson of valuation camps conducted by the University of Calicut and also helps in taking remedial classes in near by schools.

Pavamani Mary Gladys, Associate professor belongs to the Department of English. One of the seniormost of the teaching faculty in Malabar Christian College, she has a teaching experience of twenty four years. She completed her M.Phil from the University of Mangalore and is also a Law graduate from the University of Calicut. The Co-ordinator of the IQAC for the past five years, she also serves as Convener of the Eco Friends - a student initiative for the environment unique to Malabar Christian College. She was also the Co- ordinator of the Add-on Course-Advertising and Editing in the Department of English during the years 2006-08. She was appointed as Chief Election Officer of the Election to the Diocesan Council of The North Kerala Diocese and was also Principal In-Charge w.e.f 18.06.2011 to 03.08.2011

T.I.Joe, Associate professor in the Department of German has been in Malabar Christian College for twenty four years now. He is the NCC Officer of the College since 1991. He was given a special letter of appreciation for winning the NAV SAINIK overall championship for Kerala in 1998. He was again recommended with a letter of appreciation in 2005 for representing Kerala in the All India NAV SAINIK.

Beryl Gilbert, Associate Professor , is another very senior teacher in the Department of Malayalam. She joined the college in the year 1988. A committed teacher she is well known for her interesting classes and her concern for our youngsters. She is actively involved with the activities of the Malayalam Mandalam and the M.P.Paul Charitable Trust and regularly attends seminars and workshops.

Dr.Mary Anitha Latha Sadanandan, Associate professor and Head of the Department of Zoology is interested in the Research area of Acrology. She has published fifteen papers and has participated in National and International Conferences. She is also a registered guide, guiding research students. Her book "Acarine Predators of northern Kerala" was published in Germany. At present she has been awarded a UGC Minor Research Project grant.

Dr.Frederick Sunil Kumar, Associate Professor, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of History is one of the senior most of the faculty members in this College. He Completed his M.Ed and M.Phil from Madurai Kamaraj University and his PhD from the University of Calicut. Member of the Indian History Congress and the South Indian Congress, he has presented several papers and attended various seminars in the field of Historical Research. He is at present the Co-ordinator of the Archives of the PG Department of History and also the convener of the Disciplinary Committee of the College.

Dr.Lambert Kishore, Associate Professor in the |Department of Zoology as twenty two years of teaching experience. He did his PhD in Taxonomy of wasps of south India. He has published several papers in National and International Journals. An active guide for research students, He has completed two minor projects and is at present doing a Major Project. Dr. Kishore is a person with varied interests. He has taken a Post Graduate Degree in Psychology and is active in counseling the youngsters of the College. He also takes classes on alcoholism and drug addiction. He has been the IQAC Co-ordinator for the past five years and also is co-ordinator of the Zoology Alumni Association and OSA of the College. Member of the UG Board of Studies, he is also a Managing Trustee of the TC Narendran Test.

Premanand M.E. , Associate Professor in the Department of English with twenty two years of teaching experience combines his IT skills with pedagogy of teaching English language . He has presented papers in National and International seminars; latest was the paper presented on the Twelfth Conference for Teachers of English held at Yangon, Mayanmar. He has published two e-books on Informatics and studies in advertising respectively. He has contributed several articles in journals. Prof. Premanand is now pursuing his Ph.D research on the topic "Hexagonal Writing Strategy using ICT for an English Language Learner"

Varughese Matthew , is a senior Associate Professor in the Department of Physics with more than two decades of teaching experience. He has completed his B.Ed and PGDCA and is also an M.Phil graduate. With two years of research experience in the National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, he has also published two research papers and attended several seminars and workshops. He has worked withthe ISRO, Tvm, in connection with the IMAP project of the VSSC. He is a favourite with students and was a popular NSS Programme Officer for two years.

Her area of research for her doctoral thesis was Co-ordination Chemistry. She has also completed her M.Phil and has a B.Ed. She has published three papers in national and two papers in international journals. She also presents papers at seminars and conferences.

Dr. K. Sudhakaran Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry is well known for his academic and scholarly bent of mind. He has published several papers and has attended many seminars and workshops in Chemistry. He is also involves in several other activities of the college and at present he is the PTA secretary of the college.

Haris.C, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry has been teaching in Malabar Christian College for eighteen years. His has completed his M.Phil and has also presented a paper at the National Conference. At Present he is supervising a project on Water analysis. He is the Co-ordinator of of the remedial teaching programme in the College.

Dr. Rosy P.A. Associate Professor, in the Department of Zoology is a senior teacher in Malabar Christian College with two decades of teaching experience. A dedicated scholar, she has contributed to research in Zoology by publishing several research papers in journals and presenting the same at seminars and conferences. Her main contribution is the discovery of 34 DNA sequences deposited in the gene bank. She is also the Co- investigator of a National Network project –Morphometry and Phylography of Honeybees and stingless bees in India , 2008-2012 , funded by DBT and Genetic Diversity of the Corals of Lakshadweep Islands 2008-2012 funded by MoEF. Vivacious , and a good speaker, she was also the NSS programme officer during 2007-08

Mohammed Rafeeque .A.P.M, Associate professor in the Department of Zoology has seventeen years of teaching experience. He is an M.Phil Graduate and is an FIP fellow of the UGC and has now submitted his Doctoral Theses to the University of Calicut. Prof.Rafeeque has written seven Text Books on various topics in Zoology for under graduate students. He is a resource person for the Regional Since center Calicut and UGC minority coaching center in Calicut University. He has also presented many papers at national conferences. Co-ordinator of the Add-On course in ornamental fish culture, he is also member of the board of studies of Aqua Culture and fishery Biology.

A Rank holder in both the B.Sc and M.Sc degrees, he has also passed the NET Exam. He is dynamic and student friendly and helps students by taking free coaching classes for the PSC Exams.

She is the Exam Officer of the University Exams in the College since 2010. She has also Co-ordinated the Entrepreneur Development club from 2004-2007 and the Palliative Unit from 2006-2009. She is also served as the NSS officer from 1998-2001.

Haridasan K is a very senior sports instructor in our college. He is very dynamic and favorite with the youngsters in the campus. One of his specialties is that he discovers talents and trains them to achieve high goals especially in football. It is because of his passonate involvement with ladies cricket, today the college can boast of many laurels in the field.

Dr. Anna Salley E.M., Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Hindi, is an experienced teacher for several years in the college. Dynamic and energetic she involves herself in the several cultural and social activities of the college. An excellent Co-ordinator, he was NSS Programme officer for five years and the secretary of the Co-operative society,MCC for an other five years. D.P.Godwin Samraj, Associate professor in the Department of History joined the College in 1996. He completed his M.Phil from M.S.University with a Fourth Rank and his B.Ed from Kerala University. An FIP Fellow under the UGC, he has now submitted his Theses "Socio - Economic Reconstruction of Kerala under the first Communist Government". He has also attended several international and national seminar and presented papers in the Indian History Congress and South Indian Congress Sections. An Excellent organizer, he has been the head of different bodies in the College like the NSS, the PTA the Co-operative Society, and the University Exams. He is also the present Co-ordinator of the youth Clinic and the returning officer of the student union elections. Professor Sam Raj is also Member of the M.P.Paul Charitable trust, Calicut and the PG Board of studies of History.

Dr. C.H.Jayasree, Associate Professor in the Department of History joined the College in 1996. She did her PhD the University of Mangalore. Her Special interest includes research in the field of Modern India and plantation labour problems and slavery in Malabar. She has successfully completed UGC funded minor Project and is also associated with the Kerala state Archives. She is also an approved guide of Mahatma Gandhi University and the Dravidian University guiding several students. She is also a recourse person in the Academic Staff College of the University of Calicut.

Academically brilliant and very creative. She has published a book of Poems titled Mounam Udayumbol and has to her credit many research papers and articles. She is very involved with the student community and at present she is the cultural Officer, MCC. She is also a Media person as she is a presenter of poems in Kaavyanjali AIR, Calicut and also a regular News reader in the Doordharshan Chanel Trivandrum. She also keeps herself busy by being the member of the editorial board of the book Jalakam of the Department of Malayalam and a member of the M.P. Paul Charitable Trust Foundation of the Department.

Dr. Sachin P. James, Assistant Professor, joined the Department of Zoology in 2010. His area of research is Entomology-Chemical Ecology and has published several of his research papers in National and International journals. Young and energetic he has established an excellent rapport with the student community in M.C.C. and is now one of the Programme officers of the NSS. He has the added qualification of having worked as a Senior Research Fellow with UPASI and an entomologist with EID Parry.
